High-Waisted and Stripes

<

High-Waisted Wide-Leg Pants H&M, I want THESE too/ Yellow Striped Top Old Navy/ Pumps HERE/ Watch Kate Spade / Gold Linked Bracelet JCrew Factory

I love a look thats sleek, and comfortable in one. This ballerina back striped top from Old Navy feels amazing (cannot believe its $12?!) and is super flattering on. The top is form fitting so it looks cute with a pair of jeans left out, or looks more high-fashion tucked into a pair of high-waisted pants. I personally have always been a sucker for high-waisted pants. They make your waist look tiny and your legs look a mile long. (win, win right?!) Remember to buy pieces that you can swap with other pieces to create different looks. This top would be adorable with a pair of white jeans and wedges, and these pants would be super cute with a shorter, minimal crop top for a night out.

Happy Friday. Phew.... we made it! ;)

Spring Florals

Floral Dress / Nude Pumps Christian Louboutin, more affordable options HERE and HERE/
Pearls JCrew Factory

I was never one to gravitate towards floral prints (esp in the spring) because it seemed so cliche! lol... I know it sounds funny but it's true. I finally gave floral prints a try and I have to admit I'm in love. When I put on this floral print dress I instantly felt so pretty, so feminine, and yes, so springy! I co-hosted a baby shower for one of my friends over the weekend and wore this dress. I loved that the dress spoke for itself. I didn't have to over accessorize, I kept it simple with pearls and nude pumps and I was done. The look was polished and frankly I just loved it because it was so easy! This is the kind of dress you can wear this season to a shower, a wedding, to church, or even to the office as is or with a little white blazer. I also linked some other really pretty floral print dresses below ( a little something for everyone).

Classic

White Ruffle Blouse Banana Republic/ Black Ankle Pants Banana Republic/ Black Sling Backs (last season Aldo) identical HERE in suede / Black and White Check Bag Kate Spade (sold out) similar HERE and love this classic piece for spring HERE/ Flower Earrings (older) similar and love THESETHESE, and THESE

There is absolutely nothing like a classic crisp white blouse with a pair of black pants and black heels. The look is always solid and always safe for just about any occasion. This white blouse from Banana Republic was extra appealing to me because of its girly frills. I love that this blouse is so simple yet has just enough character to give the look a fun, unique feel. This week when you are standing in your closet trying to figure out what in the heck to wear, remember going back to the basics isn't always a bad thing.

ps. My bags in these photos are on fleek!! Not sleeping at night as a new mama is really catching up to me. If anyone has any good under eye creams (that are safe while breastfeeding) or under eye concealers, I am very open to suggestions. ;)

Dressed Down Blazer

French Blue Linen-Cotton Blazer JCrew Factory/ White Jeans (older) love THESE/ Gray Tee HERE/ Converse HERE/ Silver Belt H&M

First off I have to point out the fact that if you noticed a wet spot on my t-shirt in the second to last photo you were not just seeing things! (ha) I breast fed right before taking these photos and it wasn't until after uploading these photos that I noticed I had leaked!! lol I totally could have photoshopped that out, but I figured hey... this is my life now as a new mama and this is real life so I'm leaving it!

Now onto the outfit.... (hehe) When I saw this jacket I absolutely fell in love. The color is so pretty and springy. I tend to wear jackets at work a lot dressed up over dresses so I wanted to be able to wear this jacket for Saturday errands in a fun, laid back kinda way. I love mixing preppier pieces (like this jacket) with laid back pieces (like my converse and t-shirt). The look is relaxed yet refined and perfect for a Saturday out and about. It's so easy to get caught in a rut wearing the same old, same old. Try mixing it up with a look like above.

Off the Shoulder

Off the Shoulder Top Jcrew Factory/ White Jeans (older) love these HERE/ Cage Heels (last season) almost identical HERE and love these HERE/

Off the shoulder tops are fun, flirty, and the perfect style to ease into the warmer months ahead with. I love this look for a date night out because its girly, and cute, but also has an understated sexiness to it.  This off the shoulder top in particular is super soft (like pajama soft) so it's sort of a win, win (cute plus comfy).  This is a fun look to try this season- keep it casual with white jeans like I did or pair it with a fun printed skirt to toss it up.

Ruffle Detail

Ruffle Sweater H&M (white version in-store) other colors online HERE, almost identical to THIS also love THIS and THIS/ Jeans 7 for All Mankind/ Heels Christian Louboutin/ Pink Clutch Lupo

This sweater caught my eye the other day while in H&M because it's almost identical to a much more expensive version! Ruffles and bell sleeves are big for spring so I love that this sweater has a touch of both! The cut is super flattering and feminine and looks cute with jeans for a night out or paired with a pin skirt for the office or dressier dinner. This style is a must buy for your closet this season!

A Touch of Pink

Pink Jacket (obsessed) White House Black Market/ Pink T-shirt White House Black Market/ White Ankle Pants White House Black Market/ Nude Pumps Christian Louboutin/ Lip Stick 'Snob' by Mac

Over the weekend we celebrated my sister's baby shower. She's having a girl (eeeek!) The shower was filled with everything girl, including our coordinating pale pink outfits. I am so in love with this pale pink jacket from White House Black Market. The fit is amazing and the color is so feminine and perfect for spring. I can't wait to style this jacket with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a white tee, with a white shift dress for work, or with white pants and a white top. This is a great staple and a fun color for the (hopefully) warmer months ahead.

Jackie O Inspired Layering

Sweater Set JCrew Factory (my color combo already sold out) similar and love THIS with THIS, and THIS with THIS/ White Jeans (older) similar HERE, Light Brown Heels HERE, Earrings (in navy) HERE, Lipstick 'Snob' by Mac HERE

This time of year layering is a must. The weather is so up and down in the spring, it makes it hard to dress. I love these matching shells and cardigans that JCrew Factory and JCrew have right now. The look is a very classic, Jackie O inspired feel. I wore this set over the weekend with white jeans, but also plan on wearing it with a pair of navy ankle pants for the office. An easy, yet polished look for spring!

The Perfect Date Night Sweater

Gray Tassel Sweater White House Black Market also in black HERE/ White Jeans similar HERE/ Black over-the-knee boots similar HERE and HERE

Happy Monday all! I hope you had a great weekend. Bruce and I have been trying to soak up every second of our weekends together because during the week it's so crazy! I am not even back to work yet, and it's still busy. The weekends seem to be our time to do whatever the heck we want with our little man and now that we are finally getting into a groove its been fun to take him out to lunch with us, do errands, or just stay in, light a fire, and get cozy.

As you can see in these pics we got snow over the weekend! I actually don't mind it when it's pretty, but I am still so looking forward to spring.

I wore this White House Black Market tassel wrap sweater over the weekend for a lunch date and errands. This sweater is so flattering on, and in case anyone is breastfeeding like me-it's super convenient! The tassels give the sweater a fun femininity, and the cut of the sweater is sexy without being too over-the-top. It also comes in black which I think would be super cute with a pair of faux leather pants or a pin skirt and boots for Valentine's Day.

I hope you all have a great week! Don't forget, tonight's the Bachelor! ;)
