My Favorite Color is Plaid

Plaid Sweater Target/Quilted Vest Old Navy/ Chambray Button-Up Old Navy/Jeans Paige            Camel Riding Boots (older) similar HERE

But seriously.... Plaid is my favorite color. ;) Lately I am obsessed with everything plaid. The look is so classic and layers beautifully with solids and other prints. I love this look for Christmas shopping or for a casual Christmas gathering. I happened to find this sweater marked waaaay down at Target for like $13.00?! It looks adorable with jeans and with a cream or navy skirt. There's nothing better than a great buy like this one...especially during the holidays!

Family Christmas Party

Red Silk Blouse The Limited not currently shown online similar HERE (love!!) and love this HEREHERE, and HERE/ Cream Wool Skirt (Zara last season), Zara this season HERE, Loving THIS and THIS, Red Bow Pumps DSW/ Gemstone Necklace Forever 21/ Solid Opaque Tights JCrew

Christmas is big for my family and for my husband's family, hence why we both love Christmas. That being said, I love to get decked for family parties. It's the time of year to go all out with pretty baubles, jewels, shoes, dresses, and my favorite... red lips. Since winter white is one of my favorite things to wear I went with a wool winter white skirt, a bright red top to keep things festive, and a pair of black opaque tights. The outfit is clean and crisp, and allows for the shoes and gemstone necklace to stand-out. A fun look to try this week and during the holiday season!

Christmas Wrapping at Home

Plaid Button-Up similar JCrew, LOVE THIS and THIS/ V-Neck Sweater JCrew/ Red Jeans (older JCrew) similar HERE and HERE/ Gold Necklace similar HERE

I am so excited for Christmas! One of the things that really gets me in the mood is turning on some Christmas tunes, lighting the tree, and wrapping presents. Over the weekend we had some last minute running around and this is what I wore. (Lately everything I put on has been including some sort of red or green!) This outfit was cute enough to run around town in and cozy enough to wrap presents in. A relaxed festive look without over doing it. I am almost done wrapping presents and have a few small gifts to purchase yet.... How are all of you on your Christmas shopping?! I cannot believe Christmas is this week! Make it a great Monday and try to stay stress-free. ;)

Red Bow Pumps

Red Bow Pumps DSW/ Red Cap Sleeve Dress H&M last season, almost identical H&M HERE, HEREHERE, HERE, Crystal Drop Earrings Forever 21

Disclaimer... it was super dark in the beautiful space that we were in, so the photos are a little fuzzy!

I cannot get over these red bow pumps for the holidays! They are so cute with a little dress like above, a midi skirt, or ankle pants. They are the perfect festive touch and can be the focus of your entire look without having to over accessorize with jewelry. I have been wanting these shoes for some time now, and am SO happy I got them! I will be living in these pretties during the holiday season... you should too!

Plaid Pants The Limited (in store not online) almost identical HERE HERE and HERE, similar HERE/ Turtleneck JCrew Factory/ Tassel Necklace Forever 21/ Brown heels Target

Feeling super holiday ready in these adorable pants from The Limited (similar styles also available in a bunch of stores above). Although these pants are a statement themselves, I am excited about the different looks I can create with them for the holidays... A red blouse, a cream sweater, or a navy jacket are just a few looks I have in mind. These pants fit beautifully and are extremely flattering on. The perfect print for the holidays, and transitional to say the least.

Herringbone and Gingham

Herringbone Jumper Dress older, but similar HEREHERE / Gingham Blouse similar HERE/ Bow Belt similar  HERE and HERE/ Ankle Boots similar HERE

I've said it before... I LOVE mixing prints, and to be honest, I had never mixed herringbone and gingham prints together but I loved the look. Herringbone is subtle enough allowing the gingham blouse to stand out without look too clashy.
I tend to turn to this jumper on days I am standing in front of my closet, stumped on what I want to wear to work. This look is no fail,  clean, cute, and best of all easy. Try pairing one of your jumper dresses or a sleeveless dress you already own with a printed blouse and a cute belt for a new look with items your probably already own.

Oh' Christmas Tree!

Brown Faux Fur Vest Forever 21/ Wool Cable Knit Sweater (older) similar HERE and less expensive HERE/ Caramel Ankle Boots last season love THESE/ Knit Beanie similar HERE

One of my favorite things to do with my husband Thanksgiving weekend is to pick out our Christmas tree! We have so much fun... we are like little kids in a candy store. I must say we found the perfect tree and thankfully we found it fast because it was absolutely freezing outside!!
Sometimes I get tired of wearing a big coat when it's cold out, so I opt for a faux fur vest and a chunky knit sweater. The look is cute, comfy, and keeps me warm when we are out and about. I also don't hate that it's acceptable to wear knit beanies when it's cold outside because it's the perfect cover for a bad hair day, or a day that you just don't feel like washing your hair!
Cheers to cold days ahead!
