Fit & Flare

There is something so care-free and feminine about a fit and flare dress. The look, although simple and quite comfortable is the epitome of "girly." Today, I wore my cobalt blue fit and flare dress  from Express, and paired it with my mint bauble necklace, and a pair of nude pumps found similar here. Give the twirl a whirl Pin Money girls! The look is simplicity and its best.

A HOT PINK Lip Kinda Day...

Happy Hump Day ladies! I decided that today was a hot pink lip kind of day, and so I did just that! I am loving CoverGirl's variety of colors and the way that they go on my lip. This hot pink color that I am wearing today is called Spellbound by CoverGirl and can be found in any drugstore. The color really brightens my face and makes my green top look even more vibrant and summery. Give it a whirl Pin Money girls!

Hottest Hats for Summer 2013

Whether going to a baseball game, an afternoon shower, or just because, hats on women are a yes in my book. Hats make a fashion statement in a very easy, understated way and best of all protect our faces from the unfortunate damage that the sun can cause. I love that hats are so transitional looking extremely feminine and girly with a big brimmed hat, to chill and laid back with a baseball cap. Either way, the look is one of a kind and a definite yes for Summer 2013.

Stand Tall Tuesday

Happy Tuesday Pin Money Girls!
Maybe it's just me, but Tuesday as a day seems to get lost in the shuffle. Monday is the beginning of the week where we start planning for the days ahead, Wednesday is hump day; it's a comfortable day, and being in the middle there is always something fun to look forward to, Thursday is the day that we say "yay tomorrow is Friday", and Friday is well.. awesome! Since Tuesday really does get lost in the shuffle, I decided to mark this Tuesday as Stand Tall Tuesday. Whatever you stand for, whatever you strive for, whatever you want to do for you today, do it and stand tall (even if you have a great new dress and it just looks better when you rock it confidently)... it's your day....

Amazing Idea for Bridesmaid Dresses!

Happy Monday Pin Money Girls! I spent the weekend near Cincinnati, Ohio celebrating one of my best friend's weddings. She was a STUNNING bride and the wedding was AHHHMAZING!One of the most beautiful parts of the wedding were the bridesmaid dresses, and I just had to share them.

Jess found these pleated maxi dresses at Victoria's Secret for only $128.00. The dresses were not only extremely comfortable, but extremely flattering on everyone's shapes! To top the dress off she made these adorable belts to add that extra touch. I love that she went this route because it's a dress that we can definitely all wear again to other weddings or events by simply switching out the belt or by adding a sash. This is definitely a great idea for future brides out there so thought I would share! :)

Trend Alert! Hair Cuffs!

Whether you are an avid Pin Money reader, or if you are taking your first glance, it's easy to see  that I love to be the first to know about the hottest trends and better yet where to find them inexpensively. One of the hottest and most recent trends this summer is chic and cheap. What are they you may ask? Hair cuffs.. YES hair cuffs! These tiny cuffs come in bright neon's, neutrals, and can be studded galore. These little cuffs are a perfect pick-me-up to any ponytail or bun and can be worn at the office, out on the town, or for a formal event.

Take a look at my most recent hair cuff that I found at Forever 21 for $5.80!! I can't wait to buy more styles and colors... there are A TON of adorable options out there!

PS. My hair is super thick so I had to stretch the cuff  for ponies. When I wore the cuff low or when my hair was half up half down I was able to wear the entire cuff around my hair. Either way looks cute. Just keep that in mind if you have thicker hair like me!

Same Skirt, Different Look!

Happy Hump Day Pin Money Girls!!
Remember this look idea from a couple of weeks ago?
(The mustard H&M skirt paired with the black and white striped H&M top)

Well... here is the same skirt, same shoes, just a different top! The look is still classic, yet different.
* Remember a statement colored pin skirt paired with stripes, gingham print, or polka dots is always a go! The pop of color paired with the print is fun- yet sophisticated enough for the office or a meeting.

Pin Money How-To: Buying the RIGHT Sunnies for your Face Shape!

One of the best and chicest accessories for summer is a great pair of sunglasses or what I like to call “sunnies.” Sunglasses are an inexpensive and easy way to take your look from laid back to glamorous in seconds. There are so many different shapes and styles though, and many women feel like they are not sure what style looks right. Here is a go- to guide for buying the perfect sunglasses for your face shape!

If you have a heart-shaped face, then that also means you have higher cheekbones, a narrower chin, and a wider forehead. The best sunglasses for a face this shape are either cat-eye sunglasses or aviator sunglasses. The shapes of both accentuate the heart-shape of the face. Plus, for ladies with heart-shaped faces, both of these styles are very different- both chic and laid back, giving two very different style options that both look great.

If you have an oval face then you are in luck! Oval faces are balanced consisting of a narrow jaw line, narrow forehead, narrow chin, and higher cheekbones (okay you are perfect we get it!) That being said, no one style is perfect for your face- all will look great and compliment you. Have fun trying out every style like aviators, cat eyes, Jackie O’s, to round -it’s something that not all can do so have fun with it!
If you have a round face you have soft curves and very few angles, so sunglasses that are large or edgy are perfect for your face. Try a pair of oversized square glasses that are large and make a statement, but have defined lines for your face. Another fun pair to try for your round face is a pair of wafers- again trendy, with defined lines.
If you have a square face this means you have a defined jaw, a broad forehead, and probably a squared off chin. Squared faces are great because they are typically proportional in length and width. That being said, the best styles of sunglasses to try for a square face are round sunnies. This shape is retro and very fashion-forward for the summer months. Not everyone can pull them off, so if you can, definitely give them a try!
