A MUST Try!

Hey Pin Money girls!! So some of my other fellow bloggers have posted about this L'Oreal sulfate-free deep conditioning masque- so I just HAD to try it. All I have to say is OMG! This masque has made my hair softer, fuller, shinier, and has almost restored my color. In fact, a few of my coworkers asked me as I was walking into work this morning if I got my hair done last night! Girls.. you have got to try this stuff! Plus, I only spent $8.00 on it!! What a great buy...

Here's the Masque...

And here's my hair after the masque

It's Raining Brides! What to Wear to a Bridal Shower

Spring has sprung, and love is in the air. The wedding season has begun which means wedding showers are sprouting up all around us. Being a bride to be I am so excited to actually have a shower of my own, but I am also the guest of many of my closest girlfriend's showers (as i'm sure many of you are). A wedding shower is a  fun time to get girly and feel and look pretty.  Attending wedding festivities can get expensive though, so here are three different affordable looks, perfect to wear to a wedding shower-keep in mind skirts are cute too, but I feel that dresses are SO much easier! :)

And, by the way- if you are attending a Kentucky Derby party this weekend, May 5th, any of these looks would be perfect by simply adding a hat!

Pair your tee with a great spring scarf or a fun necklace. The looks is comfy, absolutely adorable, and cheap!

Today's Outfit Idea: Shades of Blue

I love the idea of putting an outfit together using the same color family, but in different shades. Today I did just that using Navy and Turquoise. Blue tones of all shades look fabulous together- the look is clean, and crisp. It's fun to try different colors! What outfit will you put together this week using the same color family? :)

And yes.. here's me at my office next to a box!! :)

Inspired by MAXI SKIRTS!

I truly hope that the saying "April showers bring May flowers" is true. It has been raining like crazy here in Ohio and today is no different. I was so cozy in my warm bed this morning that literally all I wanted to do was wear my pj's to work! So- I thought about my latest post on maxi skirts, and even better how comfy my  maxi skirt is, and volla! I swear this cute little comfy skirt made my rainy day so much better. I feel comfortable and relaxed, but also still look cute! (well except for my hair which would not do a thing today!) Maxi skirts really are perfect for just about anywhere! See for yourself! ;)

Not quite ready for exposed legs? Good! That's what Maxi Skirts are for!

Spring time is an exciting time of the year- the weather is getting warmer, which means we can change up our wardrobes and wear items that we couldn't before. The idea of skirts without tights or boots is great, but it isnt always realistic for the girl who has had her legs covered for months. If you love the idea of skirts for spring, but are not quite ready for shorties that show off your legs, try a maxi skirt! Maxi skirts are hot this season and can be worn dressed up or down. Take a look of some of these maxi skirt outfit ideas below!

Pinky Promise

Yay for Thursday! One day closer to Friday and then the weekend! Whether you have plans with friends, a hot date, or if you are just planning on doing errands around town, it's fun to add a little something extra to your typical look. One of the simplest and cheapest ways to give yourself that extra "pop" is through lipstick. Lately I have been on a kick with CoverGirl's Temptress Charmeuse (number 400).(I got mine at Target for $5.94) The color is so springy, looks great at work or for going out,  and gives me that little something extra. Best of all- I can add it to any outfit and it changes the entire look for close to nothing!

Pin Money: For REAL girls

Happy Wednesday Pin Money Girls! Not always in life are you hit with a compliment that makes you stop in your steps, but recently I was lucky enough to receive such a heart stopper of one. Read what Monica, my dear friend, who I am lucky enough to work with, and an avid Pin Money reader, wrote on her Facebook:

You know me, I'm not into magazines, TV, and not much of a “mall person” to get any of the latest on fashion trends. But to my surprise lately I have been getting many compliments about the way I dress. Honestly, if I have any fashion sense these days it's due to my friend, Lauren. She has helped me take fashion and mix it up with my own personality and personal style, ON A BUDGET. It’s nice to have a fashionista right next to me in the office - God must have known I needed help in that dept haha - but you can also get the same tips by subscribing to her blog and also “like” her fb page. My Pin Money Fashion

Inner beauty is most important, no doubt. Outer… well it just adds a little boost of confidence with some effortless help.

I have to say- she has been dressing adorable these days- see for yourself :)

True Classics Never Really Fade: Gingham Print

There is just something “feel good” about the checkered print. Maybe it reminds us of our grandmother’s red and white checkered tablecloth, or takes us back to some of Barbie’s first dresses. The classic pattern called “gingham” is simplicity at its best. Most people know the print when they see it, but the name isn't always top of mind- that is until now.

Gingham print has been a staple fabric not only in America, but around the world; it’s that feel-good fabric that people just gravitate towards. Back in the 20s and 30s it was common to see gingham dresses or tops tied up with skirts, into the 30s and 40s you may remember models sporting gingham bathing suits, and into the 50s came dresses just like Dorothy’s from The Wizard of Oz. Into the 60s gingham was seen on many young men’s button down short sleeved shirts, and into the 70s gingham was seen on the pockets of flared jeans. There is true history to this print and it hasn't gone away. Gingham print blouses are hot for spring 2013- it is a classic go-to that can be worn in so many different ways...and I am obsessed!

Happy Friday! Can I get a Woot Woot for this Fab Find!!

Hey Pin Money Girls!! So I just HAD to share a recent find. Lately, I have been on a strict budget with my wedding coming up, house renovations, etc etc. I have been eyeing a bracelet from Stella and Dot (that I love for $59.00) but can't afford at this time. Stella and Dot has THE most amazing jewelry  but it doesn't always fit my Pin Money budget. That being said.. to get me by, I found this bracelet from Forever 21 verrrry similar to the one I love and more affordable ($6.80)  for me right now! It looks super cute layered with some of my other favorites!

Inspired by Stripes!

I was inspired by my recent post Spring Stripes for the Office so I decided to give it a whirl! Here I am, pictured in the back of my office wearing navy ankle pants, nude pumps, a coral long sleeved tee, a green belt, and a navy and white striped blazer. I have to say, the stripes definitely make me feel more spring-like and the stripes are subtle, yet fun and playful even for the office! See for yourselves.. I think you will love the look.  :)
