Although it's not technically Spring yet, I think we can all agree that the winter blues have gotten the best of us and we are in NEED of a few pick-me-ups. (At least I am!) I have been breaking out the bright colored sweaters and tops to add some brightness and happiness into my everyday jive, but sometimes I still feel blah! Recently, I started playing with some of spring's hottest make-up trends and it really did make me look and feel revived. Try a few of these trends, and help add a little pep in your winter blah step!

Friday and Valentine's Day!? I am not sure if this day could get ANY better. Honestly I have always loved Valentine's Day, even when I did not have a special someone. I have always loved the pink, the red, the hearts, and who could forget the personalized shoe boxes made specially for Valentine's from your classmates. ( I actually would love to bring that back as an adult) :)
Today my look is casual, could be worn to the office or for some cocktails for dinner with girlfriends. A later post will share my night out look with my sweetie, yes my sweetie. Anyways, I got this ahhhhdorable tee at Old Navy for $14.94. They have a ton of cute ones just like this with different sayings. I paired my tee with my Old Navy gingham blouse, not currently found in stores but similar HERE and layered with my H&M blazer for $34.95. I am absolutely obsessed with my Forever 21 pearls for $12.80, I literally wear them everyday with my monogrammed necklace. In light of Valentine's Day I wore my JCrew wool red mini skirt. I got this skirt last season, but can be found similar and super cute HERE. I topped off the look with my Forever 21 polka dot tights found similar HERE and my Aldo ankle boots found HERE. A fun, relaxed look perfect for Valentine's Day!
I have learned a lot in this year, one of those things being that TRUE LOVE is worth the wait. I am a very lucky gal these days. :) Happy Valentine's Day Pin Money Girls.

If you haven't been able to tell, I am obsessed with monograms, especially on jewelry. There is something so special and personal to having your initials engraved on a piece that you wear everyday. I just love layering monogram bracelets, and necklaces with other pieces in my jewelry collection that mean so much to me, and mix them with fun, trendy pieces. If you have not jumped on the monogram train, then there is no time like the present. Speaking of present, great valentine's day gift maybe?? :)
Take a look at some of my favorites, at great prices, that can be personalized just for YOU!

For a conservative, board room worthy look, pair your dress with a blouse, a fun belt like leopard print, layer necklaces like pearls and a monogram pendant, and add a pair of great pumps.
For an edgy, playful look- perfect for a night out for cocktails or dinner, add a cropped bomber jacket to your dress. A fun color like red, caramel, or olive always adds that extra pop. Add a fun necklace like one with spikes or gems, and finish off the look with a great pair of booties. Edgy, without being too over the top in one.
For a completely different look, try pairing one of your favorite sweaters, like one with a cowl neck over your dress. Belt your dress with a thin belt to add shape. (Too thick of a belt will make you look bulky. A thin belt adds shape without overwhelming your body) Add a few long layered necklaces and you are set! A cozy, comfy look perfect for the office, a lunch, or running out and about.
Ladies you can use any little black dress you have! Mine is from Banana Republic and can be found HERE. The Key with replicating these looks with a little black dress you already have, is by using items you already have in your closet! Now is not the most favorite time to buy new clothes, especially since we are all so ancy for spring! Work with what you have and make the old look brand new!

Meet Mina- a Pin Money follower, and a Chicago fashion girl who has the Pin Money mentality of "finding fab looks for less." Living in Chicago, Mina likes to look chic and fashion forward without having to break the bank. Check out these amazing Kate Spade boots she found at TJMaxx.
